
About the Artist:
Julie Patrick is a DC-based fine arts photographer whose style ranges from abstract to portrait work.Well versed in black & white as well as color printing and processing, Julie prefers working in the color medium with 35mm film. She produces her work at the Open Color Darkroom at the Smithsonian Institute's Resident Associates program at the Ripley Center.

Julie is currently a Resident Artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia in Studio 24 through May 2006.
The Torpedo Factory is one of the oldest Artist Collectives in the US. There are over 85 working studios, 3 floors and several hundred artists connected to the Factory.
Once an actual Torpedo Factory during the early half of the 20th century, the warehouse turned vacant and a group of artists in 1974 requested the building be used as an artists colony and working educational center.
